Music at Shaldon

At Shaldon, our music is taught in regular blocks by class teachers, where the children have opportunities to listen, appraise, compose and perform. The musical curriculum also ties in with our extra-curricular activities, such as choir. Children are given several opportunities to showcase their skills through concerts and performances, building their confidence and allowing them to take immense pride in their achievements. Musical culture also forms a large part of our curriculum, influenced by history and our community, from classical composers to local sea shanties.
