Mr Claridge
This is my sixth year at Shaldon Primary School, having joined as the Year 6 teacher in September 2018.
During a gap year before university, I worked as a Special Needs Assistant in a specialist Language Unit in a Hampshire junior school. Following this, and between degree courses, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in an inner-city school in Southampton completing my degree and Initial Teacher Training.
I began full-time teaching in Year 3 and have taught across all year groups in key stage 2. In 2015, I moved to a large Hampshire junior school on the edge of the New Forest as Head of Year, where I was Head of Year 3, leading a year group of five Year 3 classes, until moving to Shaldon.
Outside of school, I am a keen runner, having completed a marathon and ultra-marathon. My wife and I also enjoy discovering some of the beautiful walks around South Devon with our son Harry and dog Monty.
