Miss Heyward​

I am really excited to be a teacher at Shaldon Primary School in September. Having the opportunity to share a learning journey with the children both in my class and across the school is something that I am excited to embark on through enquiry based learning.

Before coming to Shaldon, I completed a degree in Education Studies through The Open University full time, whilst working as a full time teaching assistant. This allowed me to develop great experience in working with children who have additional needs. Following that, I completed my PGCE in Primary Education with Devon Primary SCITT.

Outside of school, you will find me playing my saxophone in a concert band, performing in local theatres and exploring the countryside during the weekends and holidays.
